Vintage Indian Lahore Accent Carpet

A vintage Indian Lahore accent rug from the mid-20th century. This Lahore carpet here does a well-studied version of the 17^th century Kerman “Vase” rugs, with two actual urns and various styles of palmette connected by a multi-level trellis, all in semi-muted tones in cream all on a medium brown ground. The cream narrow main border has bracketed palmettes. This northern Indian workshop Lahore is size versatile, as a large scatter or small room size, and the mellow colors increase its universal appeal.
