A vitnage Indian Lahore carpet. This light-toned northern Indian carpet has a design taken from Indo-Isfahan 17th century carpets of in-and-out palmettes and snaky cloud bands, but here on a sandy beige ground instead of wine red. The border is decorated by star-like cartouches.
