The tribal Afshar weavers of SE Persia have narrow looms and therefore specialize in scatters such as this one with matching abrashed pale blue-grey field and rosette – filled cartouche panel centered by a pole medallion of three conjoint hooked diamonds. Enclosing plain straw sub-field. Main ecru border with a herringbone bud chain. Medium weave on cotton.
