A vintage Persian Flatweave. The weavers had a basic idea of a pole of stepped cartouche medallions, but they got imaginative and filled the deeply abrashed mostly brown field with boteh-triangles, and tossed more into the comb-fringed central motif. The colors got wild and include red, buff, light blue, ecru, green rust, and navy. The triangles of the off white end borders have also acquired top finials, but the side triangles simply form a chain.
