A vintage Persian Heriz Gallery runner. The oyster ground displays two Karaja octogramme medallions at the ends and thirteen “Lesghi star” Caucasian motives in between in mustard, rust and red, surrounded by an ivory slanted serrated leaf and small rosette main border. The Heriz district, in NW Persia and near the Caucasus has always drawn on Caucasian patterns and the rugs share similar color schemes.
