A vintage Persian Kerman carpet. A fine example of later Kerman taste, this carpet was made of the USA market. It shows the influence of contemporary Sarouks with its detached flower spray field pattern but goes way beyond with its broken borders and richly complex design, especially in the main border. There are at least 12 colors including numerous blues and greens, all from natural sources. Once in style, then out, this type of Kerman is slipping back en vogue.
