A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This piece is organized into three echelons: a black lower panel with a long nas’taliq inscription, a middle section with the Shah and Shahbanu on various shades of blue, and an upper panel with birds, peris (angels) and lion supporters. The lower calligraphy is interrupted with flags and reads.
