A vintage Persian Mahal rug. An organized pattern of a small lozenge lattice in red, blue and black on the black ground soon deteriorates into mad, multicolor confetti of small visually mobile particles in yellow, orange, rust, red, sky blue and pistachio. The polychrome disorder is barely contained by the narrow ivory border with triangle, oblique line or squiggle patterns. There is an extra border at one end.
