Vintage Persian Malayer Accent Rug

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The pale grey field shows a Malayer variant of the allover Herati design, organized into four columns of connected, fringed diamonds in beige and rust. Interspersed within the field are three rows of female stick figures and a few small botehs. A strip-style light blue border is decorated in a Caucasian manner with slanted, serrated leaves and reversing calyxes.
