A vintage Persian Malayer rug. The charcoal field displays an unusual three column version of the Herati design with rayed hexagons and teeth nearly everywhere.  ‘Fish’ leaves have been minimized. The plain sand corners and blue-grey palmette and lancet leaf border shift the spectrum toward a more neutral look in this west Persian village scatter.
