A vintage Persian Malayer rug. Shades of rust stand out as the accent tones of this three column pattern with ‘fish’ leaves, rayed hexagons, and octagonal rosettes, all set on a light graphite ground. Jagged rectangular palmettes and partially rounded rayed palmettes alternate in the sand border. One of the most popular Malayer designs, almost always in scatter formats.
