A vintage Persian Malayer rug. The straw border shows outline botehs and stiff connecting lines, and the equally straw field corners are plain, but the central brown panel sports a variation on the Herati pattern with a central chain of fringed lozenges, joined “fish” leaves and numerous floating rosettes repeating those in the central column. No reds or blues here.
