A vintage Persian Malayer runner. The charcoal field of this attractive west Persian village kenare (runner) abrashes and striates at one end to a medium-dark graphite, but the serrated leaf lattice enclosing small hooked lozenges neatly and elegantly goes on. The black and ivory inner two mosaic pattern borders are most unusual in the corpus of west Persian Malayer village production.
