The familiar Herati design has been transformed on the lighter slate ground into a pole medallion of small, fringed diamonds and attendant bent leaves and rosettes. All the basic elements have been retained, but now scrambled into a new composition. Straw border with triangular, finger-fringed palmettes. West Persian, rustic medium weave. Good condition.
