Vintage Persian Malayer Runner

Three synchronized poles of fringed diamonds run up the light blue grey abrashed field in this modified Herati design kenare (runner) from western Persia. This is one of the several versions of the Herati specific to Malayer weaving and not used elsewhere. Ecru – beige border with a “tangerine flower” triple posy and rosette repeat. Cotton foundation, medium weave. Good condition.
