A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A visual pair to rug # 31983. The slate-grey field shows a characteristic Malayer version of the Herati design, organized around a central column of rayed diamonds. The field corners are beveled. A straw-colored, strip-style main border features a square meander with pentagonal palmette pendants.
