Vintage Persian Pictorial Isfahan Rug

A vintage Persian Pictorial isfahan rug. This urban semi-pictorial; rug employs two slender intertwined flowering trees in an arched old ivory field.  At the top of the field is a crowned, human-headed bird with a polkas-dot body. In addition numerous garden birds perch in the trees.  The main border is a complex light blue and black reciprocal of palmettes and the red spandrels are filled with flowering tendrils. The weave is fine and an urban workshop is clearly the source.
