A vintage Persian Shiraz Square rug. En suite to rug # 24645. The hooked lozenges of the Herati pattern are filed with ivory and standout in an implicit diamond on the ruby red ground of this closely knotted nomadic creation. Although the Herati design is essentially urban in origin, Qashqai weavers have been using it for more than a century.
