Vintage Persian Square Textile

Wool pattern warps and wefts in a warp- and weft-faced plainweave. The two center panels are in sync, as are the two side panels. The plaid effect is executed in red, royal dark blue, and ecru, with transitional color mixes achieved through twill and herringbone weaving. Slightly wavy all around. Qashghai domestic work, made for household use rather than as a commercial item.
