A vintage Persian Tabriz Pictorial rug. A well-dressed young woman sits on a mat and fondles a deer (?). The ivory ground has multicolored striped curtains drawn back above and a red cartouche-shaped pool with fish below. The royal blue border employs smaller hexagonal cartouches with central red rosettes. The weave is fine and the rug is a city creation.
