Vintage Persian Textile

Wool pattern warps and wefts on a warp- and weft-faced plainweave. The household use of this plaid-patterned, small-square, four-part piece is evidenced by numerous darned areas and small holes. There is minor pattern offsetting. The palette includes cream squares, color-mixed twill squares, and plain brown squares. From a Qashghai tent, originally part of a 28-foot-long source piece.
