A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This room-size tribal piece presents a three-by-three array of hexagonal compartments, each centered by a lozenge enclosing quasi-Qashghai guls. The dark blue ground is further enriched by quadruples of related Qashghai-style guls placed as minor ornaments in the interstices. A dark blue main border features closely packed pairs of geometric butterfly motifs. Narrow red elems (extra end panels) at each end display mosaic lozenges.
