Vintage Square Hamadan Rug

The jogged stripes of this vintage, NW Persian rustic tripartite flatweave are primarily in red, cream, and light blue grey, but in the central panel part shows goldenrod and rust lines. The piece was originally part of one long strip. The weaver may have started out with yellow and then changed her mind or ran out of red and substituted rust and yellow. Anyway, it is an amusing example of pure folk craft. Adjustable size. Wool, weft-faced weave. Good condition.
