Vintage Turkish Anatolian Throw Rug (Pair: 1 of 2)

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. A visual pair to rug # 33455. Four small stars and four diminutive red rosettes accompany three larger ecru and ivory rosettes, detailed in gray, ochre, rust red, and brown, on an abrashed dark brown to charcoal field. Tan and light brown leaves extend from the larger blossoms. The warm brown main border displays reversing fan palmettes and floral devices, while an outer ecru stripe features a dark zigzag pattern. Narrow brown plain-weave finishes complete the ends. Originally woven as a yastik, or cushion cover.
