Originally the three sections were part of a long strip, woven by a rural woman on a frameless loom using wool from her or other local sheep. The narrow light and dark equal width stripes irregularly jog, relieving any hint of obvious regularity or stifling rigidity. It served as a simple, inexpensive carpet or cover in a NW Persian peasant house. Vintage sections. Good condition. Wool, weft faced weave.
