A vintage Turkish Herekeh carpet. This city carpet from a town in northwestern Turkey has a pattern descended from 17th century Ottoman Court rugs. A central ‘tree-of-life’ sprouts myriad branches, leaves and floral motives as it grows the full height of the field. The small upper spandrels give it a niche design. Detail colors include rust, gold, tan and old ivory.
