Antique Caucasian Kazak Rug

An antique Caucasian Kazak rug. The royal blue ground of this low pile east Caucasian scatters shows two red hexagonal medallions and attending pairs of ivory smaller gul motives. The barred-S border is typically Kazak as are the two minor bands with flip-flop carnation meanders. A few small, rustic animals are scattered in the field.
