An antique Indian Lahore carpet. This very colorful northern Indian carpet displays cloud bands, palmettes and vigorous vine scrolls on an old ivory ground. The brick-brown main border has half-cartouches containing standing flowers. defined by a thick, reversing plain strapwork This attractive carpet could be termed ‘Indo-Tabriz’ or even ‘Indo-Kerman’.
