Antique Persian Bakhtiari Carpet

An antique Persian Bakhtiari carpet.The sprays with small white blossoms are blown rightwards, while the lollipop flowers stand erect on the markedly abrashed dove grey to slate ground in a general diagonal pattern. The narrow main border of this unusual format and pattern central Persian village kellegi presents bracket rosettes and freely floating octagons. Rust accents are common throughout the carpet.
