An antique Persian Bidjar rug. Too regular to be a sampler (wagireh), this small Kurdish town Bidjar scatter displays four cabbage rose bouquets on acanthus framed blue reserves in the European manner (Gol-I-Firangi). A very narrow simple palmette and vine circumscribes the whole. The weave is heavy, dense, compact and eternally wearable.
