An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. A shallow, cusped arch defines the red field with a cypress tree and vase central motif, flanked by half trees and vases. Full face roses blossom at the field bottom. The brown spandrels have a vine and leaf pattern. The weave is fine and even, and the rug originates in an accomplished workshop in the ‘Hajji Jalili’ period in Tabriz.
