An antique Persian Heriz carpet. The field is actually light blue as the corners join at the top ends of the ground. The madder subfield centers an octogramme navy medallion. The striking light blue appears everywhere: in the simplified turtle palmette border, accents in the field and copiously in the corners of this semi-geometric NW Persian rural carpet.
