An antique Persian Khamseh rug. Chickens and botehs (paisleys) fill the double stepped lozenge pole medallion and spill onto the graphite and khaki field in a characteristically southern Persian Khamseh tribal design. The ivory main border features stepped crosses and stepped intermediate brackets. Too many chickens to count!
