Antique Persian Kurd Runner

An antique Persian Kurd runner. En suite to rug # 25497. Traditionally, runners were made in pairs in Persia to flank a wider Mian Farsh central main carpet in the layout in prosperous houses. Together with 24597, this Kurdistan rustic antique kenare (runner) forms an attractive set, or it can be used alone. The dark blue Herati field pattern is somewhat more centered than in 24597, but the border turtle palmettes are more irregular. Take your pick.
