An antique Persian Kurdish rug. A brown border of isolated rosette-octagons frames the khaki field with its column of three octagons and in-and-out of focus botehs, superimposed leaves and assorted other, less nameable elements. The lack of formal discipline adds to the rustic character of this west Persian village creation.
