An antique Persian Malayer carpet. A few small, headless birds have flown into the allover Herati pattern on the darkest brown ground on this western Persian longish carpet. The unusual main border has thick curled leaves with one-sided serrations in a variety of detail tones including medium blue, orange and yellow.
