An antique Persian Malayer carpet. This unusually attractive west Persian town room size displays a vertically organized repeating pattern of open dog bone cartouches, hexagon rosettes, short bent leaves and tiny birds on an abrashed sand to oyster field with ziz-zag edges. The off white main border shows serrated vine hexagons enclosing progressive tall flowers.
