An antique Perisan Mashad carpet. Fat, outline cartouches with quatrefoil centers in dark brown make an airy allover pattern on the ecru ground. The border displays cartouches and octogramme flowers in the classical taste and a medallion in the top border contains the name of the workshop/master weaver as is often the case on the better quality Mashad room size carpets.
