An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. Woven in the best style of the late 19th century, this “Hajji Jalili” type piece has the desirable copper red sub-field in a “book cover” pattern with a pointed and pendant elliptical floral medallion and en suite field formed of joined corner pieces with acanthus edgings. The navy border displays upright and tilted palmettes along with several types of jagged leaves. A big rug in a small, desirable package.
