An antique Turkish Kayseri rug. The small slate blue niche field is edged with tiny carnations and bounded above and below by decorative panels in the western Anatolian 18th century Ghiordes manner. The main border of palmettes, rosettes and leaf brackets is also in the antique Ghiordes style. This is a town rug from eastern Anatolia.
