Contemporary European Cuenca Carpet

A new European Cuenca carpet. The royal blue field displays four and one-half rows of palmettes and acanthus leaves in an allover textile pattern with Renaissance sources. Thick, diagonal, ogival slanted leaves accent the en suite blue main border. The look is Arts and Crafts, even William Morris, even though Spain never had a movement similar to that in Britain in the late 19^th century.
