A vintage Persian Heriz rug. Probably from Mehriban village in the general Heriz weaving district in NW Persia, this rare scatter has a small central; open hexagon organizing big, geometric, angled and bent leaves. The rustic turtle palmettes of the dark blue border alternately reverse direction. This is a solid, authentic village weaving from one of the most famous locales in Persia.
