A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation, possibly Baluch. The ecru field shows five identical bust-length images of a local politician in Western garb, grouped around a curious composite device, perhaps a jug, with animal ornament and a goldenrod-toned handle. Vegetal contents appear to burst outward from the vessel. Three secondary ibexes and tertiary rosettes complete the field decoration. A Baluch-style “running dog” wave border in off-white on wine and navy frames the piece.
