A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. Against a royal blue ground, a half-length figure in red and khaki is posed within a landscape, with roses at the left and zigzag-patterned cypresses to the right. Executed in short-warp construction. A narrow string-red border encloses the design. The figure, of ambiguous gender, may derive from a mythological source.
