Vintage Persian Isfahan Square Rug

A vintage Persian Isfahan Square rug. Very unusual. In size. In colors, as the usual Isfahan palette is cream, dark red and navy. A lacework medallion with eight pinched lobes radiates large en suite pendants on a beige field A soft gold is a secondary and pervasive tone. The main border displays leafy clumps. The weave is very fine and the high-quality woolen pile is clipped low to give a velvety texture.
