Vintage Persian Kurdish Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. This kellegi (long rug) features four truncated, tabbed ashiks in shades of rose brown forming a pole medallion on a yellow field, with a floating, full-length pale blue border-like motif along each side. Small bitonal rosettes are scattered throughout. A putty-colored border displays X motifs and rosettes.
