Vintage Persian Malayer Rug

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The beige field shows rows of starkly geometric palmettes, along with tiny botehs. In some renditions of the large palmettes, they have “eyes”, but here they are blind. Floating octagons and short, serrated leaves decorate the beige border. Rust details throughout and rust inner minor border as well.
