Vintage Persian Sarouk Large Room Size Carpet

The medium brown field shows a compact version of the “American Sarouk” allover pattern of floral sprays, here incorporating botehs and volute leaves to create an “implicit” inner border. Main border with ram’s horn volutes and fanned-out petal palmettes.  Basically, a complex earth-tone palette. Well-woven, compact, and sold weave. Cotton foundation. Good condition. West Persian village carpet.
