Vintage Persian Square Textile

Wool pattern warps and wefts on a warp- and weft-faced plainweave. The cream squares appear in randomly single- or double-width rows, while the brown rows are always single. A dark brown central axis is flanked by slightly lighter secondary axes. Offsetting varies across the textile. Qashghai work, with loose twill and herringbone color mixing.
