Vintage Persian Tabriz Carpet

This urban rug from Persia has adapted and formalized the classic “Vase” carpet pattern of diagonal palmettes on a multi-level vine trellis. The mushroom colored border displays two types of in-and-out palmettes. There are subtle balances of form and content in the palmettes. The detail colors are in the brown, taupe, and tan range.
